Soprano Meagan Miller, who will take part in our A Very Good Year ~ Happy Birthday to 1912 program on March 23 and 25, received a rave review in the New York Times, written by Vivien Schweitzer, for a recital she gave with tenor Marcello Giordani in New York on Sunday, March 4. The very headline of the review says a lot: Young Soprano Turns Out to Be a Pro. A little snippet to whet your appetite:
Ms. Miller, on the other hand, sounded radiant throughout, beginning with four expressively rendered songs by Fauré, which showcased her alluring, dark-hued lower range to fine effect.
We are very excited that we will have Ms. Miller with us for the 1912 program so soon. It will be a textbook example of a not-to-be-missed experience!
