Lyric Fest brings a highly entertaining and informative hour-long weekday concert. The program showcases a fascinating body of repertoire that hails from the Ashkenazi traditions of many Central European countries – all kept alive and re-envisioned here in America. Zalmen Mlotek, Artistic Director of the award-winning National Yiddish Theatre Folksbiene in NYC will host from the piano bench, with Elizabeth Shammash and Thom King, sharing song and story.
