Our Lyric Fest cocktail celebrating our Waxing Poetic – In the Blue Room concert comes from the Waldorf-Astoria Wax Poetic cocktail. But just as our concert comes from the inspiration of many arts, our Waxing Poetic Cocktail takes some colorful inspiration from batik as well as a poetic whiff of absinthe.
Cocktail
2.25 ounces vodka
.50 ounce honey
.50 ounce hot water
.75 ounce fresh lemon juice
Shake in a shaker with ice and strain into a glass
Garnish:
1 eye dropper of blue curaçao
a few drops of grenadine
Using a small spray bottle, spritz a whiff of absinthe or Chartreuse over the top of the drink.
